An Indian-make Indian Standard Cement and Fly Ash Silo is a heavy-duty vertical steel storage tank designed to hold bulk cement, fly ash, micro-silica, or slag powder at concrete batching plants or brick manufacturing facilities. Fabricated in compliance with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) codes (such as IS:2825 for pressure vessels/structural safety) and optimized for high-capacity batching plants, these silos protect moisture-sensitive powders from humidity, rain, and external contamination. Standard capacities: 50 Ton, 100 Ton, and 150+ Ton.

The Atlas CEMENT/ FLY ASH SILO is engineered for durability and reliable material flow. With a welded or bolted construction, heavy-duty supporting legs, and a comprehensive suite of safety accessories – including top dust filters, pressure relief valves, fluidization nozzles, and level indicators – our silos ensure safe pneumatic filling and consistent discharge for batching plant operations.
| Parameter | Standard Industrial Values (Indian Market) |
|---|---|
| Storage Capacity | 50 Ton, 100 Ton, to 150+ Ton (50T & 100T are the standard defaults) |
| Material of Construction | Structural Grade Mild Steel (MS) Plates (IS:2062 Grade) |
| Shell Plate Thickness | 5 mm to 8 mm (thicker at the bottom cone to support the immense weight) |
| Silo Structure Type | Welded (Single-piece for up to 100T) or Bolted (Sectional for easy transport) |
| Discharge System | Cone bottom with a manual/pneumatic butterfly valve and screw conveyor |
| Supporting Legs | Heavy-duty structural H-beams / pipe legs with cross-bracing |
A mandatory pneumatic or mechanical pulse-jet baghouse filter mounted on the silo roof. When bulk tanker trucks pump cement inside using high-pressure air, the filter traps micro-powder while venting clean air to prevent roof rupture.
A spring-loaded safety valve mounted on the silo roof. If a bulk truck over-pressurizes the tank during pneumatic filling, the PRV instantly opens to bleed off excess pressure safely.
Cement and fly ash pack down tightly over time and form a "bridge" or vacuum "rathole" above the discharge mouth. Compressed air nozzles installed along the bottom cone fluidize the powder and maintain smooth downward gravity flow.
Max Level Indicator sounds an alarm to warn the tanker operator to stop pumping before overflow. Min Level Indicator alerts the batching plant cabin operator that raw materials are running dangerously low.
A horizontal or inclined motorized auger pipe attached to the bottom hopper cone meters out the raw powder and feeds it cleanly up into the cement weigh hopper of the concrete batching plant.
On‑site commissioning, maintenance training, and spare parts support across 25 countries.
Bulk storage of cement, fly ash, and micro-silica for RMC plants, highway projects, and commercial batching operations.
Storage of fly ash and cement for manufacturing fly ash bricks, concrete blocks, and pavers.
On‑site cement storage for bridges, dams, metro rail, and tunnel construction projects.
Storage of slag powder, micro-silica, and other powdered materials for industrial processing.
Standard capacities are 50 Ton, 100 Ton, and 150+ Ton. Custom capacities are available upon request for specific project requirements.
The silo is designed for bulk cement, fly ash, micro-silica, slag powder, and other dry powdered materials used in concrete batching and brick manufacturing.
Welded silos are single‑piece construction, ideal for up to 100T capacities. Bolted silos are sectional, allowing for easy transport and assembly at remote project sites.
Standard accessories include a top dust filter (pulse‑jet baghouse), pressure relief valve (PRV), fluidization nozzles, max/min level indicators, and a screw conveyor system for discharge.
Compressed air nozzles along the bottom cone inject air to fluidize the powder, breaking bridges and ratholes to ensure smooth gravity flow to the discharge system.
