An Indian-make Indian Standard Truck-Mounted Bitumen Pressure Distributor / Sprayer (2.5m to 4.2m spray width) is a specialized road construction vehicle used to apply an even, metered layer of liquid bitumen or bitumen emulsion onto a road base before asphalt laying. Manufactured under MORTH guidelines and IS:15808 standards, these machines are typically mounted on standard Indian commercial truck chassis (such as Tata Motors 1616 / 1512 or Ashok Leyland Ecomet / 1615). They are the industry standard for applying tack coats and prime coats on state highways and rural roads.

The Atlas B 6. BITUMEN MINI TRACTOR LINKED SPRAYER is a precision-engineered, truck-mounted sprayer designed for uniform and efficient application of bitumen, bitumen emulsion, and tack coat materials. The sprayer features a robust, insulated tank with a thermic fluid heating system that maintains the material at optimal application temperature, ensuring consistent viscosity and flow.
The central spray bar measures 2.5 meters for standard lane travel. Two mechanical or hydraulic wing-folding extensions unlock on both sides, bringing the total continuous spraying width to 4.2 meters – covering a standard single-lane highway (3.75m) in a single run with room for shoulders.
The tank body is heavily insulated with 50mm high-density glass wool wrapped in an outer stainless steel or aluminium sheet protective jacket. Equipped with a high-capacity diesel burner and U-shaped return heating pipe, it safely elevates bitumen temperature up to 150°C–180°C.
Features a line of brass or stainless steel atomizing nozzles spaced at uniform 100mm intervals. Every single nozzle can be selectively opened or shut from the operator's rear platform via pneumatic cylinders.
Driver's Cabin: Contains the main digital spraying controller, application rate lock system, and master valve switches. Rear Platform: Outfitted with mechanical bypass valves, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and a hand-spray lance attachment for tight corners and manual touch-ups.
Anti-clogging multi-port valve design with Diesel Flush Line (dedicated 20–30L auxiliary diesel tank) to wash out residues, and Air Purge using the integrated air compressor to blast high-pressure air through the entire 4.2m spray bar – preventing asphalt solidification between shifts.
On-site commissioning, operator training, and spare parts support across 30 countries.
Uniform application of tack coat between asphalt layers and prime coat on granular bases to ensure proper bonding and long-lasting pavement performance.
Application of bitumen emulsion for chip seal and slurry seal operations on state highways and rural roads.
Spray application of bitumen-based waterproofing compounds for bridges, roofs, and underground structures.
Precision spraying of tack coats and sealants on airport runways and taxiways for surface protection and friction restoration.
The sprayer is designed for hot bitumen, bitumen emulsion (cationic and anionic), tack coat materials, and some waterproofing compounds. The heated tank accommodates materials up to 180°C.
The application rate can be adjusted from 0.3 to 2.5 kg/m², depending on the material and project specification. The digital tachometer with fly-wheel speed tracking ensures accuracy.
The sprayer is designed for standard Indian commercial truck chassis such as Tata Motors 1616 / 1512 or Ashok Leyland Ecomet / 1615. Custom mounting kits are available for other chassis.
The anti-clogging multi-port valve design includes a Diesel Flush Line that washes out leftover residues from the nozzles, and an Air Purge system that uses the integrated air compressor to blast high-pressure air through the entire 4.2m spray bar – ensuring no asphalt solidifies inside to block the next shift.
The base spray width is 2.5 meters, which can be folded out to a maximum of 4.2 meters using mechanical or hydraulic wing-folding extensions.
